While visiting Kathmandu,
Nepal during September/October 2006 I became interested
in the work of the charity Child Environment Nepal.
CEN is a registered charity that takes care of 12 orphans
whose parents and relatives were killed in cross-fire
between Government troops and Maoists in their village
of Jogimara. I am going to establish a registered UK
branch of this charity (CENUK) so aid in the future
can be properly channeled.
Tyrolean Adventures Limited has adopted
this charity and is working towards the provision of
a better life for the orphans of Nepal. This will be
achieved in 4 stages:
Stage 1. During my stay in Kathmandu, Tyrolean Adventures
Limited donated sufficient funds to guarantee the Educational
Sponsorship of the children until 2008. It will continue
with this sponsorship for the forseeable future. The
Educational Sponsorship of the children is the main
aim of Tyrolean Adventures Limited.
Stage 2. A visit to Europe is planned for January 2008
for 14 children and 6 carers. Cultural visits to London
and Munich are planned with a week skiing in Austria.
Stage 3. Through donations and fundraising
it is hoped to help CEN raise enough money to help them
purchase their present building in its entirety. This
will ensure the future of not only its present orphans
but enabling the orphanage to grow and therefore take
more children under its wing.
Stage 4. The long term goal for CENUK
will be to provide a framework for continued help and
support CEN until their work is complete.
Any assistance, help or advice from
the clients of Tyrolean Adventures Limited would, as
always, be greatly received.
