I have now travelled with Tyrolean Adventures Limited for 7 years and the prices still continue to amaze us. We will not be booking with any other company for the foreseeable future.

Sking In austria

The beginner and intermediate skier is well catered for on all of the slopes used by Tyrolean Adventures Limited. A 6 day area ski pass is included in the overall price of the holiday with instruction costing an additional Euro 115. Children are especially welcomed at St Jakob where there is a 'Ski Kindergarten' with Bobo the Penguin and a designated play area for the youngsters. The Ski School will look after the children throughout the day, supplying a drink and lunch for as little as £3 per child per day.
The Schneewinkel Ski Area is ideally situated in a quiet corner of the Tyrol located 160km from Munich, 112km from Innsbruck and 64km from Salzburg. The area incorporates 9 different mountain ski resorts with 60 ski lifts and an excellent selection of runs for all abilities; of the total 170km of runs, 30% are Blue (beginners), 60% are Red (intermediate) and 10% Black (advanced).

Hochfilzen has a Bank with an international cash-point machine, Post Office, Café, small supermarket, information centre and Chemist. Larger shops, bars and nightclubs are situated 8km away in Fieberbrunn. St Jakob is on the reverse side of Hochfilzen and home to the Ski School, Intersport Gunther and some well renowned mountain restaurants. It has 8 chair-lifts with a total of 19km of slopes, 7km of slopes with snow-making facilities, the Bobo Kinderpark and a permanent racetrack that all skiers compete in at the end of the week. On arrival to Hochfilzen, you will be taken to the Intersport Gunther at St Jakob for boot and ski/snowboard hire and this will be your equipment for the whole week.

Fieberbrunn offers superb skiing for the intermediate and novice skier with plenty of off-piste skiing for the advanced. Recent investments in the ski-lifts at Fieberbrunn mean there are now only two button lifts running - the remainder being a mixture of Gondolas and chair lifts. The mountain has a vertical drop of 1220m, leaving 65km of exciting and varied piste runs and a comparative volume of off piste skiing. Located within a 15 minute drive from the Hotels, the ski area has un-crowded slopes with snow conditions somewhat better than its neighbouring Kitzbuhel Alps.

Steinplatte is the local slope of the Tyrolean village of Waidring, situated in the Strub Valley. With a 20 minute Gondola up to the top, snow conditions higher up result in snow-covered ski runs from mid-December right through to April. In total, there are 7 chair-lifts totalling 32km of pisted runs, 28km of off piste, a modern Snow-Park and it is also possible, for a bit of variety, to ski into Germany!

St Johann is set against the backdrop of majestic mountains, approximately 16 km from the Hotels in Hochfilzen and St Ulrich. With a total of 17 chair lifts and Gondolas, St Johann at an elevation of 670m, offers 60km of runs, 28km of which are covered in artificial snow.
