Hochfilzen
A fantastic base for skiing in St. Jacob, Fieberbrunn, St. Ulrich and Waidring. Hochfilzen is a great destination for cross-country skiers and provides access to the famous regional trail.
St Jakob

Fieberbrunn

Steinplatte

St Johann

Thanks to its snow guarantee, Kitzbühel ski area undoubtedly ranks among the most popular ski resorts in the world. In addition to the most world’s difficult downhill ski run – the famous Streif – the Kitzbühel Alps offer gently rolling grass hills ideal for unlimited ski and carving pleasures on 170 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 33 km of exciting ski routes. Quaint mountain huts await you for leisurely breaks. True outdoor experts will appreciate the varied off-piste terrain and the wide range of ski mountaineering routes in the easily accessible back country.
The Kitzbühel Slope Map boasts 60 groomed ski runs for all ability levels, with a total slope length of 170 km. Of these, 67 km are easy (blue), 79 km are intermediate (red) and 24 km are difficult (black). In addition, expert winter sport fans can choose from 55 km of marked ski routes which are marked and monitored but not groomed. Thus, these ski routes offer mostly deep powder and mogul runs. Just like regular ski runs, they are avalanche-safe. The area's 55 mountain lifts and gondolas can transport more than 90,000 outdoor enthusiasts per hour to the top of the peaks. The ski area reaches up to 2,000 m above sea level and includes seven villages and two Austrian states.
